Playing at SportsPlus
How long do playing sessions last & how many people are allowed to play?
If you’re booking a Batting Lane you will be allocated 30 minutes for 2-3 guests, 45 minutes for 4-5 guests, 60 minutes for 6-9 guests and 90 minutes for 10-15 guests. For 15+ you’ll be allocated an additional lane/s.
For Darts we recommend up to 6 players for 30 minutes, up to 8 players for 60 minutes and up to 16 players for 90 mins.
For Golf we recommend up to 4 players for 60 minutes, up to 6 players for two hours and up to 8 players for three hours.
How many sports can I play in one session?
In our Batting Lanes you’ll have a choice upon arrival to play Cricket, Baseball, Tennis or Lacrosse. You can play one, two, three or all four!
The best part? You’ll have the flexibility to swap sports whenever you like during your session. If you do play multiple sports your scores carry over from one to the next, meaning you’ll be able to challenge your friends to the highest score across them all!
If you’d like to combine a Batting Lane session with Darts and / or Golf please ensure you make specific bookings for each.
How does the scoring work for each sport?
Batting Lane scoring is simple. Take out the different LED targets within your lane to score points! Your points are accumulated throughout your session regardless of whether you stick to one sport or play multiple.You’ll see all of your group’s scores in a leaderboard format on the TV in your lane. Bragging rights are encouraged.
If you’re playing Augmented Reality Darts, there are six different game modes that you can choose from upon arrival!
Playing Golf? You’ll be able to choose from 250 world famous golf courses to play on. Normal Golf scoring applies.
Is booking required?
Booking is always recommended however walk ins will be accommodated where possible.
How long before our booking should we arrive?
We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your booking so we can get you inducted and ready to go on time. Our bar and restaurants are open if you’d like to enjoy a drink or food beforehand or feel free to head to Canterbury’s Bartega next door (see Food & Drink page for full list of options).
Can I bring my own bat, racket or golf clubs?
You sure can but it’s probably easier to use ours. We have cricket & baseball bats, tennis rackets, lacrosse sticks and state of the art golf clubs (left and right handed) available for all guests to use.

What are your opening hours?
Our opening times can be viewed in the footer of our website or in the About section.
Are we able to hire your site out exclusively?
You sure can! Please contact our reservations team – contact@sportsplus.com.au – for more information and options.
Do we have access to Canterbury's bar and dining options before or after our booking?
Absolutely!! Canterbury has a number of other dining options including a brand new cocktail bar right next to SportsPlus. Either book in or walk in either side of your SportsPlus session to maximise your experience at Canterbury! Check our Food & Drink page for more information.
Are children allowed in the venues?
Yes – as we are situated inside a Registered Club, persons under the age of 18 are permitted to enter, however they must be in the presence of a Responsible Adult such as a parent or guardian at all times.
Do you have an age limit on the games?
Children must be at least 5 years old to be permitted within the batting nets and golf bays so long as accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. You must however be 9+ to play augmented reality darts.
Are you able to host children's birthday parties?
We sure can! We’re perfectly set up to accomodate for families and kids parties. Email contact@sportsplus.com.au if you’d like to book a Children’s Birthday Party (these can be outside of our normal opening hours too). Please note that kids parties have access to our Batting Lanes only (not golf or darts bays) for Tennis, Cricket, Baseball & Lacrosse. We have three hitting lanes available with up to 9 people per lane!
Is there disabled access?
Yes, we have disabled access. Let us know if you’d need any assistance prior to your arrival.
Do you show live sports within the venues?
We sure do! We have TVs in each of our hitting areas as well as on the bar. If there is a specific game you’d like us to show, either let us know when here or email us in advance!
Should I pre-order food and drinks?
Pre booking food and drink is optional at online checkout. If not you’ll have full access to our food and drink options on arrival either by QR code or ordering at the bar.
What sort of food and drink is on offer?
We offer a mixture of pub classics and as well as gourmet options on Friday & Saturdays. Our bar is stocked with all of your favourite beers, wines, seltzers and cocktails!
